The courtyard has always been well protected and has had a very central role in the fortress operations, to this day! The stone barracks are today a conference and meeting space for businesses and organizations. The commandant’s house, to your right, hosts our lovely cafe and lunch restaurant. And the Corps de Garde is fitted for weddings and events. Behind the commandant’s building we have a fantastic restaurant that is open for bookings, seating over 100 guests. The wooden houses, “fredstaken”, can be booked for larger groups of 250-500 people during summer. Our church with its amazing atmosphere can be booked for weddings and baptisms for up to 100 people.
